February 14, 2023 Dear UAW Family, Our union has a long-standing tradition of supporting the communities in which we live. It is a testament to whom we are – fighting for all and helping one another. That is why we are partnering with the AFL-CIO and the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) for the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive campaign on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

We are asking UAW members to participate in this effort, which will assist union members and struggling families in our communities to keep food on their tables.

To participate, UAW members can simply place a bag of unopened, nonperishable food next to their mailbox before the letter carrier delivers their mail on Saturday, May 13. The letter carrier will ensure that collected food is sorted and delivered by union volunteers to area food banks and pantries.

I encourage you to promote this day of service at your local union. Enclosed you will find a flyer that can be posted. Additionally, please share the information about this opportunity from UAW International’s Facebook page on your local union’s social media platforms.
