CHAPLAIN CHAT by Curt Forney……

Pastor R. Duane Gryder shares what he is thankful for when he writes: I AM THANKFUL...I am Thankful that we only elect Presidents once every four years. I am Thankful that teenagers will grow up and that one day they will have children that will become teenagers of their own. I am Thankful that I am not a turkey this month. I am Thankful that the space available for messages on T-shirts and bumpers is limited. I am Thankful that hugs and kisses do not cause us to gain weight or cause cancer. I am Thankful that TVs, Radios, CD Players, and Computers can be turned off. That goes for Smartphones as well (though many people think they could not exist if they did). I am Thankful that God’s love never fails and that He will never stop loving me (and you). The Apostle Paul, when writing about the resurrection of the dead, says how that knowledge should affect us: "All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God." Imagine how different this world would be if we spent as much time being thankful as we do complaining (I'm including myself). Hmmm. Just saying. Think about it.
