Local 72 was chartered in 1935 as one of the founding Locals of the UAW. For 75 years, Local 72 represented workers in Kenosha, Wisconsin at the auto manufacturing facility owned by Nash, American Motors and Chrysler. The Chrysler plant closed in 2010. Currently, Local 72 is an amalgamated Local representing workers at Palmen Motors in Kenosha and Wisconsin Metal Products in Racine, Wisconsin.
Membership Meetings are held on the first Thursday of October at 1pm and 5:30pm. The Workplace Council meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 5pm. No meetings are held during June, July and August.
