Women's Committee

Brothers and Sisters,

Please thank all of the Women’s Committee for doing such an amazing job in 2023.  It has not gone unnoticed by the members or the community.  Feedback from both has been positive. 

Our meat raffle winner was Bubba (Sue) Mills.  2nd place Steve Ewing, 3rd Nikki Colglazier.  Thank you to everyone who donated.  We were able to adopt 4 of our members families this Christmas!  Thank you, Mary Comens, for donating the popcorn and candy bars for 2nd and 3rd place!

The Women’s Committee met on December 10th, 2023 to go over our agenda for the 2024 calendar year of activities and events that the Committee voted in the following;

Women’s Committee 2024 Agenda

March – Easter Egg Hunt – Ask the membership to provide the candy and use smaller toys in basement for easter baskets.

May- May Day/Mother’s Day Event- Spend up to $300

June – Donation of the Committees choice – Spend up to $100

July – School Supply Drive – Spend up to $100 and ask the membership to match the committee with $100.

August – Team up with the Vet Committee on an event to provide lunch to Veterans – Spend up to $300

September – Food drive for our Local – Spend up to $100 and ask the membership to match the committee with $100.

October – Breast Cancer Fundraiser – Purchase an item to sell for fundraiser.

October – Trunk or Treat – Spend up to $150 of Committee funds and ask the membership to also spend up to $150 for candy.

October – Cops for Kids Fundraiser – Spend up to $100 on supplies for bulbs.

November – Adopt a Family Meat Raffle

December – Team up with the Vet Committee to make gift bags for a nursing home of our choice and a Veterans home of the Veterans Committees choice.  Spend up to $200 Committee Funds and ask membership to match the committee.

December – Might hold a toy drive at the hall to team up with the Chamber of Commerce.
