Marilyn Spradling

Marilyn Spradling retired from Chrysler (Unit 1) in 2020 with over 41 years of service, and today she serves as our Retiree Chair. Throughout her career, Marilyn has been a dedicated member of the UAW and has served and represented the UAW in many different capacities.Union strong runs deep in her history. Since 1966, her family—from her parents and siblings to her aunts, uncles, and nephews—has built their livelihoods within the auto industry and the UAW. As a mother of two, mother-in-law to two, and grandmother of three, she knows firsthand that the victories won at the bargaining table secure the futures of generations to come.
To Marilyn, Union means “Power”. She believes deeply that none of us is as strong as all of us. When we unite, we hold the collective power to shape the future we deserve through collective bargaining, protecting the hard-earned rights of both our active workers and retirees.
