Tony Cavallaro

Tony began his career at Chrysler in 1999 and transferred to Belvidere Assembly Plant in 2006, where he held various roles in the Trim Department. In 2009, he was elected union steward, stepping up to represent the members. Inspired by those he served, Tony continued his union involvement and was elected committeeman in 2012, a position he held until the plant idled in 2023.

When the Vice President’s office opened in July 2024, Tony was prepared to serve, drawing on years of union experience and a commitment to being a voice for the members who helped shape him as a union officer. In 2026, he ran again and was unopposed.

Tony has three adult children: Angelo, Giovanni, and Gabriella. In 2026, he also became a grandfather to Giovanna.

To Tony, the union means representation, unity, and a collective voice for all members.
