Leo Carrillo
Greetings my Sisters and Brothers! I would like to thank you, the Membership, for entrusting me for the responsibilities of The Office of the Financial Secretary of Local 31. I am most humbled. It does come with many challenges, but we will continue to work through these together with our newly elected Executive Board and continue to move our Membership forward. I’m a 2nd generation Autoworker as both my parents worked and retired from GM. I grew up in a very strong Union household. After serving in The United States Marine Corps I began my career with UAW/GM in Janesville, WI out of Local 95 in 2000. I got involved in our local by serving on the Veterans Committee and eventually being elected to the Executive Board of Local 95. I transferred to Fairfax in 2010. I’ve worked in Chassis and Bodyshop during my time here and have been involved in our local union. Outside of work one of my favorite things to do is to travel. I love to go to new places and try new foods. I’ve not been everywhere, but I’m working on it. Once again I’d like to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to continue to serve this Membership.
