The General Primary Election is on March 19th, 2024, and preparations have begun. One of the biggest hurdles that we face in every election is finding Election Judges to serve on Election Day in Boone County.

We have scheduled our Election Judge training classes for Wednesday, January 10th (5:30 pm) and Saturday, January 13th (10 am). Currently, we only have 74 judges signed up to attend the classes. Ideally, we need approximately 185 judges for an election, but the minimum needed is 111 judges.

For those that are manually submitting for sub, continue to do so during the holiday period. You can do it on Monday December 25th and Monday January 1st, or any time during those weeks. These weeks will not be approved until corporate is back from the holidays.

Northern Illinois Food Bank, Community Service’s winter outerwear and Paranormal Committee pet food distribution was held today. We were able to supply 100 families with food, winter outerwear and pet food. Thank you to everyone who donated winter clothing and pet food, and to Northern Illinois Food Bank for holding a pop-up distribution at our hall so we may serve the community. And especially a shout out to all the volunteers who came out to aid in this event to make it a success.
