Day 2 of the UAW Constitutional Convention starts at 9am EST (Detroit time)

Starting up day two we had 2 delegates speak on some issues and reports. The luca team will be updating the membership during the day from the Constitutional Convention start at 9am EST.
Here is a copy from brother Darin Gilly Facebook page about the 625 strike pay.
"Is The UAW About To Punish Striking Members?
Another Reason for $625 Strike Pay
As wages increase for UAW members so does the amount of their dues. Over the course of the current Big 3 National Agreement wages will increase 25%.
Members would be justified in expecting more for this increase in dues. It seems fair that Strike Pay should increase at the same rate as their dues. A Strike Pay increase to $625 from $500 is a 25% increase. A fair return on their dues investment.
The proposal about to be out on the floor of the convention is to raise Strike Pay to $550 - a 10% increase. Why should members be cheated when they make the sacrifices of going on strike? Cheated when they need it the most?
Strikes are the way the biggest, most challenging gains are made. Strikes are the way we make powerful corporations say YES when they want to say No.
Ensuring the Strike Fund fulfills its mission of supporting members is essential to win workplace gains.
Want to Organize? - show gains in bargaining!
Want active members? - show gains in bargaining
Want dues paying members in Right-to-Work states? -
SHOW GAINS IN BARGAINING!
To make gains we must maximize the power of a strike. Financially secure members/strikers are stronger strikers. Strikers whose gains benefit the entire union!"
Brother Robert Dyche created a video on his Facebook as well talking about yesterday day one delegation and gave a shout out to our LUCA team.
