Our Commitment to the Community

Welcome to the UAW Local 2250 Community Service webpage, our commitment extends beyond the the union and to the communities where our members live and thrive. The Community Service Committee is dedicated to making a positive impact by organizing and participating in initiatives that support local charities, families in need, and community development projects. We believe in the power of collective action to build stronger, more resilient communities for everyone. Our efforts reflect the UAW's core values of solidarity and social responsibility.

Quick Look at what we do and Partnerships

The Community Service Committee is actively involved in various projects throughout the year. Here are some examples of our recent work and partnerships:

  • Adopt a Child: Organizing a whole child Christmas to bring joy to children during the holiday season.
  • School Supply Drives: Providing essential school supplies to students in need, supporting educational opportunities.
  • Elder Court: twice a year, in both the summer and fall, we proudly visit Elder Court retirement home. During these visits, we provide a warm, nourishing meal for the residents, along with essential "echctals" and a small gift
  • Blood Drive: twice a year, We have a in plant Blood Drive to help area Blood banks.
  • Partnerships with Local Charities: United Way, St Louis Urban League, Special Olympics (polor Plung) and March of dimes

How You Can Help

  • Volunteer Your Time: Join us at our next community event. Check our calendar for upcoming opportunities.
  • Donate: Contribute to our ongoing drives for food, toys, or school supplies.
  • Suggest a Project: Have an idea for a community service project? We'd love to hear it!
  • Spread the Word: Encourage fellow members and community members to get involved.
