Community Services Committee Meeting
The UAW Local 2250 Community Services Committee is the "heart" of our union. While other committees focus on the contract and the ballot box, we focus on the person. Our mission is to ensure that no member or neighbor stands alone during times of hardship. This meeting is where we coordinate the resources, referrals, and relief efforts that support our brothers and sisters when they need it most.

Member Assistance & Hardship Relief
Our primary duty is to be a lifeline for our membership. We discuss how to best connect members with the resources they need to navigate life’s challenges, whether they are facing medical issues, financial strain, or family emergencies.
- Resource Referral: Reviewing our partnerships with local agencies, food pantries, and counseling services.
- Strike & Emergency Prep: Ensuring our committee is ready to support the membership during any workplace or community crisis.
- Confidential Support: Discussing how to maintain a strong, private network for members seeking help.
Community Charity & Outreach
Local 2250 has a long history of giving back to the Wentzville and Greater St. Louis area. We plan the "sweat equity" projects and donation drives that make a real difference in our neighbors' lives.
- Charitable Drives: Organizing upcoming food, clothing, and school supply collections.
- Volunteer Coordination: Planning our local’s involvement in community builds, disaster relief, or holiday assistance programs.
- Agency Partnerships: Strengthening our ties with organizations like the United Way and local shelters.
