Constitution and Bylaws
Our Purpose
The Constitution and Bylaws Committee is dedicated to ensuring that UAW Local 2250 operates in strict accordance with the UAW International Constitution and our Local's established Bylaws. We review, interpret, and propose amendments to these foundational documents, safeguarding the democratic principles and operational integrity of our local union. Our work is crucial for maintaining transparency, fairness, and the rights of all members.
How to make a By-Law Change
To propose a By-Law change for, a members should draft their proposed amendment clearly and submit it in writing to the Executive Board. The proposed change will be read at a all 3 general membership meeting, then held for consideration until the next meeting to allow members time to review and discuss it this will activate a By-Laws Commitee Meeting. A two-thirds vote of the members present and voting at the next general membership meeting is required for the By-Law change to be adopted. It's always a good practice to consult the By-Laws standing committee for the exact procedures and requirements.
