Jocelyn Benson started her speech by thanking the delegates for their endorsement for governor of Michigan. She spoke on how the POTUS is breaking contracts and firing union workers. She shared that her husband is a proud Afghan veteran and that her parents were union special education teachers.

She has had many conversations with her constituents talking about how people in Michigan don't even have the bootstraps to even pull up their boots because of the cost of living. Furthermore, she was stated, "We are just asking for fairness" She told them that when people need help, the UAW is there. She asked us, Who does the governor work for? She answered, I will work for you. Her campaign is about cost down, wages up. She said she will stand with us on the picket line; she will show up when we need it, help, and get out of the way. The last thing she wanted to say was she can't do this on her own; it's not an easy fight. She asked for us to be with her, kicking doors and making calls. She said she will march into victory with the UAW when she can't lose.
