UAW Local 2250 Community Action Program (CAP)

is where our power at the assembly line meets our power at the ballot box. This isn’t just about politics; it’s about protecting the contracts we’ve won and ensuring that the laws in Jefferson City and Washington D.C. work for us, not just the billionaire class.

Time

6:45am

1:00pm

2:45pm

We don’t wait for change; we drive it. This meeting focuses on our current legislative priorities, including protecting worker rights in Missouri and pushing for policies that support working families—from affordable childcare to retirement security.

  • Jefferson City Updates: Reports on recent lobbying efforts and bills impacting Local 2250.
  • Labor Rights Defense: Strategizing against any legislation that threatens our ability to organize or bargain.

Our strength is collective. We’ll discuss the V-CAP (Voluntary Community Action Program) and how these voluntary contributions allow us to support pro-labor candidates who actually show up for us when it counts.

  • Candidate Vetting: Reviewing upcoming local and state elections.
  • Member Education: Helping our brothers and sisters understand how political decisions affect our daily lives on the floor.
