LGBTQ+ Committe Meeting
LGBTQ+ Committee Meeting
The UAW Local 2250 LGBTQ+ Committee is dedicated to the advocacy, protection, and inclusion of our LGBTQ+ members and allies. Founded right here in Wentzville, our committee led the way for LGBTQ+ representation across the UAW, ensuring that "Solidarity" truly means everyone. We meet to discuss workplace rights, community visibility, and the ongoing fight for equality on the shop floor and beyond.

Knowledge is power. We work to educate our broader membership on the importance of LGBTQ+ rights as a labor issue. When one group of workers is targeted, the entire union is weakened; when we stand together, we are unbreakable.
- Awareness Programs: Developing "Toolbox Talks" and educational materials for the floor.
- Ally Engagement: Empowering allies with the tools to support their coworkers effectively.
Local 2250 has a proud history of community leadership. Our committee ensures that our union’s footprint in the Wentzville and Greater St. Louis area reflects our commitment to civil rights and social justice.
- Regional Visibility: Organizing our local’s participation in Pride festivals and community outreach events.
- Political Engagement: Working with the CAP Committee to support legislation that protects the civil rights of all Missourians.
Social Connection: Creating opportunities for members and their families to connect outside of the plant.
